Researchers Record Nanoparticle Surfactants In Action

With atomic force microscopy, researchers captured video of nanoparticle surfactants shifting until trapped between oil and water. Once researchers learn how to predictably control how liquids take shape, medical scientists envision the creation of liquid robots that deliver cancer drugs. In time, the food processing and cosmetic industries could also adopt nano-liquid technologies.

Ferritin Nanoparticle Self-Assembly Technology For Vaccines

Experiments in the United States and China have turned to nano assembly to build vaccines. So far the process of ferritin nanoparticle self-assembly has yielded antigens with excellent chemical stability at different temperatures. Working with both influenza and the coronavirus, scientists have produced vaccines that appear highly effective.

Nano Technology Set To Speed Up Cathode Production

The world looks to lithium-ion batteries to improve energy efficiency and reduce pollution. Nano One Materials Corp. recently earned high marks during a performance evaluation by the University of Michigan.

The company is collaborating with multiple academic groups to perfect a manufacturing process for battery cathodes. The patented technology appears likely to reduce battery production costs through its faster nano process that does not use cobalt. The cathodes also provide superior charging speed.
